We are proud to announce the World Music Nashville Music Education Workshops. These workshops focus on many topics not usually covered in your local music store. In fact, some of our workshops cater to both the professional and aspiring musician.
- We teach the basics and advanced subjects of Music Theory and Ear Training, useful to improve a musician's musical ability or to help the future music student get a head start in advanced placement in Arts Programs in High School and College.
- We instruct on specific topics of music performance: Slide Guitar, Effects, Guitar Maintenance, etc.
- And our Band Workshops, Adult Jam Workshops, and Nashville Stomp Group... not only will you be learning critical skills of Musical Performance but you will be having fun while you do it!

Ever want to get together with a couple of friends and sit around and jam with a professional instructor in a performance hall complete with PA system and drum set? ADULT JAM! is a four week, one hour workshop in which the participants choose what they want to play and do just that.
Perfect for the Weekend Warriors who just want to play. Learn songs and jam with other adult students.

WANT TO PLAY IN A BAND?
Our most popular course, the Band Workshop is a six-week course in which participants are assigned to a musical group and are instructed as a whole ensemble. Students are taught about basic rhythm and cohesion, chord placement for guitarists, the "groove", and various other topics pertaining to musical performance.
All styles of contemporary music are explored and are chosen by the participants. The Band Workshop culminates in a multi-song performance at the next Student Concert - Band Performances show.

Blues & Rock Improvisation |
EVEN GUYS LIKE HENDRIX HAD TO START SOMEWHERE!
Improvisation is one of the most important skills to develop for a musician. This workshop studies the basics of improvisation in both the Blues and Rock genres. The Blues & Rock Improv Workshop will help you learn how to train your ears to recognize keys in songs, and play the appropriate solo in your performances.

The Djembe is one of the most ancient percussion instruments in the World. This workshop focuses on basic and advanced mechanics and performance techniques most commonly used with this instrument. Special attention to African styles and patterns will be the primary focus of this course.
